It was some time ago, whilst my best friend was overseas (good planning) that her now fiancé called me and said he needs to chat to me. She being more a sister to me than a friend, I immediately knew what this chat was all about.
Leon, or as she calls him ‘her Langman’ knew exactly what he wanted their engagement to be like. For Jana, it is in the small things. She finds absolute love and joy in creating precious moments in the ordinary, but in her way because she makes the daily/ordinary count, a normal ordinary moment like tea time after dinner is not that ordinary. This is exactly what Leon wanted for her on their special day. A day filled with small special details, how she will normally treat those she loves.
This is exactly what this day was all about!
It poured not only with a typical highveld thunderstorm but also with blessings on their special day. Luckily an hour before Jana arrived for a ‘styled shoot’ or this is what she thought she was arriving for, it stopped raining.
Their rooftop sunset/dinner was even more perfect after the storm, a cool breeze, the light was magnificent (perfect for photos as you can see), and the late afternoon sky smelling perfect.
Simplistic and special, just as Jana would have done it herself. All created by her own Langman. The food, the flowers, everything contributed to the small details she so loves. Every detail in a palette of pink and white.
The catering was done by one of my bestest friends Nicola du Toit (https://www.facebook.com/nicola.toit.9?fref=ts).
We (www.garnichestudio.com) helped Leon with the arrangements and styling, Missy Makeup artist made the now bride-to-be look her prettiest pretty and the stunning Migneon from Pritti captured this special day.
If this is the start of how this amazing couple celebrates their lives together, we don’t want to miss a moment.
Cheers to pretty fresh new beginnings!
