Simplicity is the art

Lisa Brown contacted us early April 2015 regarding her trip to Gauteng for a wedding of course 🙂

In her time here she wanted us to be creative together.

Lisa’s inspiration: high-end fashion bridal shoot, simplistic, striking, gold, trendy, luscious/opulent, lace.

Of course this concept and inspiration is right up Natja Reney, our head stylist, Events director and owner of Natja Reney Lifestylist ’s alley.

Natja Reney is all about beautiful, clean, simplistic styled content creation.

The concept: we found our ‘models’ look and feel inspiration in high-end fashion magazine’s such as W Magazine and Vogue. They always push the boundaries, think out of the box, but having said that, they keep it simple.

We brought this hardcore fashion inspiration back to the everyday lifestyle and a look a modern, simple, trendy bride can relate to. We softened, simplified the high fashion look.

We used the venue as our inspiration for the decor used and duplicated the venues elements in the decor elements. White walls, cement floors, clean structured lines.

The flowers pick up the colours that are seen through the large glass windows of Shine’s studio’s the glass house. A scene of Johannesburg’s vibrant and creative Braamfontein.

We wanted to show that beauty and style can be found in the everyday decor elements, the everyday hairstyle, the everyday ‘plain’ dress. But all this added together creates purity, harmony, simplicity perfection. That the art is not in creating elaborate over the top styling creations but rather to keep it simple and natural but still have an impact.
